CDO needs a mayor who will provide fair social services for the poorest of the poor. Someone who will guarantee, and not just promise, a safer city where crimes will be mitigated through a quick response mechanism of the PNP. Someone who will provide a better home for rugby and solvent addicts or streetchildren around Divisoria who combat hunger with these means. Someone who will address the problem of traffic, especially in the market areas, with strong conviction to drive away the vendors who block the streets even with the consequence of losing their votes in the next elections. And of course, someone who will successfully create a disaster risk reduction management team which will calm us during upcoming typhoons, knowing that signals and safety measures are provided beforehand.
I won’t tell you who to vote for. Instead, I’ll tell you to own your vote; not because of an “utang na loob”, or “amigo siya sa akong pamilya” but because you believe that your candidate is the best option.
